Well, some sad new in Boss Guitar Pedal Land. The TU-2 Tuner has been discontinued! My tutu has been the most reliable tuner I’ve ever owned.
The good news is, the brand new TU-3 seems to be just as good and reliable!
Check it out here: TU-3
Any guitarist knows, the guitar is only a small part of the overall equation for getting that perfect tone. Eddie Van Halen has played several types of guitars over the years and he still gets that killer tone no matter what guitar he’s playing. Same goes for Jimmy Page and Santana. The pursuit of the perfect tone is a life long quest, and just when you think you’ve found it, your taste changes, leaving you searching and tweaking endlessly.

This website is dedicated to a key element in the tone of many many guitar and bass players, the effects pedal. And more specifically, Boss guitar pedals.
There is lots to learn about guitar effects and pedals and how they effect your overall tone. Hopefully you can use this website to learn what pedals make what kind of sounds, what order to place your pedals in, what kind of cabling and accessories to use, and the proper way to hook everything up. Everything makes a difference. There are 1000 options you can choose when organizing your pedalboard. Some consider there to be a right way to do everything, but the fact is, if it sounds good to you, then it’s right!
There are several good things about using Boss pedals.
- Most of them are small.
- They use the same power specs
- Most use the same basic casing
- They are very durable
These characteristics make Boss pedals a good choice for the gigging musician. They are small and fit neatly on your pedalboard allowing you to logically organize them and keep your pedalboard size small. Using the same power specs also allows you to chain them together and keep your power taps open for other pedals. The small, durable casing ensures minimal breakage when stomping on them night after night on stage.
With the huge selection of pedals Boss manufactures, they have a product to satisfy every tone choice you want. Reverb, distortion, delay, chorus, looping, tuners… They got it!
No wonder Boss guitar pedals have been some of the most popular guitar effects for the last 30 plus years.
